Tourist Guide Training Programme (In English or Mandarin)

A comprehensive training opportunity for people from all walks of life who are interested in obtaining the Singapore Tourism Board's qualified tour guide certificate.

Course Content:

As Singapore's tourism landscape evolves, tourist guides are also expected to deliver a more differentiated experience to meet the changing expectations and profile of visitors.

Any person wanting to be a licensed Tourist Guide has to undergo the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Tourist Guide (TG) programme (consisting of three modules) and pass all the relevant assessments before they can be issued with a Tourist Guide licence. 

Pre-requisites for application include:

•  A copy of NRIC/Passport

• A copy of ALL educational certificates - Highest education certificate, Chinese language results and English language results

• A non-refundable registration fee of S$86.40 and member fee of S$54.00 (inclusive of 8% GST) is payable upon submission of application for the course.

• Payment to be made at least 1 week before course commencement. (Cheques are to be crossed and made payable to "SCCIOB")

• All applicants must pass the pre-course interview before enrolling into the WSQ Tour Guide preparatory. Course fees have to be paid within a week upon release of the result.

• Applicants who are aged 60 years old and above must provide a medical check-up report, as well as a doctor's letter of confirmation stating that the student is physically fit to be a tour guide.
